The Battle for Wesnoth Team just released the start of a new stable series:
Battle for Wesnoth 1.4
This version features thousands smaller and hundreds of bigger changes like the addition of many new campaigns and lots of new music. Have a look at the release announcement to get a summary of the most important changes. We have update our screenshots page to display some of the new and updated graphics.

Most distributions should already have an updated version in their tree (eg Debian "unstable" and Gentoo) or do provide a way to update to the latest version. Of course you can also just get the sourcecode of the game at our website, www.wesnoth.org and compile it yourself.
